1. Are you partners with Apple?
We are not affiliated with Apple. We are an independent repairer and will not repair any devices on a manufacturer warranty basis.
2. Do you use Apple parts?
We do not use parts direct from the manufacturer, nor does any repair company who are not authorised by Apple as Apple do not sell genuine parts to third party companies. Instead we use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and replacement parts.
3. Some other repair shops are cheaper. Why shouldn’t I use them?
Unlike some other repair shops, at Tech-Bros we do not cut corners. We use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and replacement parts which come with warranty, and all repairs are carried out by a fully trained and experienced repair technician.
4. Will I still be charged if you cannot fix my device?
If we carry out a full diagnostic into the issue affecting your device, we will charge a flat rate of £19.99. This cost covers the time invested by our experienced repair technicians and is included in the cost of any repairs we carry out.
5. If you fix my device will I keep my manufacturer warranty?
No. All repairs carried out by third parties will void your manufacturer’s warranty. However, we provide our own warranty for the repairs we carry out.
6. Can you repair my device without your password?
In order to fully complete our pre and post-repair tests to make sure everything is working, we need your device password. Keeping in line with our data protection policy, we will not access any of the personal data on your device.
7. Do you need my contact details?
We do not need your contact details to carry out your repair, just your device password. However, we use your contact details to call you when your device is fixed and ready for pickup.
8. Can you repair devices from manufacturers other than Samsung and Apple?
Yes. Our experienced technicians can work on a wide range of devices. However, we will only take on a repair task that we are confident we can successfully complete. Please contact us if you cannot see your device or issue listed.
9. My device needs to be reset to factory settings (DFU restore) – can I avoid losing all my data?
When your phone is reset you will lose all locally stored data. However, if your data is backed up to the cloud you should be able to restore it from there.
10. Can you fix touch ID on a home button?
We can fix the home button functionality on your device, but cannot offer a repair for the Touch ID functionality.
11. Can you fix a device which has previously been fixed by somebody else?
We generally do not offer this service as the previous repair may have caused some damage. However, in some circumstances we may consider the repair, so please feel free to enquire.
12. Are you able to repair devices that have suffered from water damage?
We can repair water or liquid-damaged devices. However, we will first carry out a liquid damage diagnostic to determine how severe the damage is and advise accordingly.
13. Can you fix the device using parts that I provide?
No. As we cannot guarantee the quality of parts we do not purchase ourselves, we only carry out repairs using our own parts.
14. Can you transfer my data over to a new device?
Yes. Data transfer can be requested to any device of your choice.
